Traditional Network Challenges & IBN Philosophy : Manual CLI-driven configuration challenges at scale, configuration drift, network intent vs. network state gap, and how Intent-Based Networking bridges business intent to automated network behavior.
Cisco DNA Center Architecture : DNA Center as the IBN controller, platform hardware (DNA Center appliance), software architecture (microservices), northbound APIs for integration, and southbound protocols for device management.
DNA Center Hierarchy: Global, Site, Building, Floor : Building the network hierarchy in DNA Center, importing floor maps for RF planning, device discovery and inventory, PnP (Plug-and-Play) for zero-touch device onboarding.

LISP and VXLAN explained like never before
I spent weeks trying to understand SDA on my own. This course made it all clear in days. The LISP EID/RLOC concept and VXLAN VNI labs are brilliantly designed. The DNA Center workflow labs are very hands-on and practical.

Best SDA course for ENSLD preparation
The segmentation modules (SGT, SGACL, VN design) are very well structured. The fusion router and border node labs cleared up concepts I had been confused about for months. Passed ENSLD 300-420 after completing this course.

Very detailed and current content
DNA Center version used in labs is very current with Catalyst Center branding updates. Would love more coverage of SDA multi-site design but overall an excellent course. The assurance module with Path Trace is particularly useful for operations teams.

Transformed how I think about campus networking
After years of traditional VLANs and STP, understanding SDA was a paradigm shift. This course made the transition smooth. The final lab with full VN isolation and SGT policy running in DNA Center was very satisfying to complete.
SD-Access (SDA) is Cisco's software-defined solution for the enterprise campus LAN, automating access layer policy and segmentation with DNA Center. SD-WAN is for WAN connectivity between sites. Both are components of the CCNP Enterprise track but address different network layers.
No prior knowledge of LISP or VXLAN is required. This course teaches both protocols from scratch in the context of SDA. Basic routing and switching knowledge at CCNA level is sufficient as a prerequisite.
Labs use the latest Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) version available at the time of instruction, currently 2.3.x. Labs run on the DNA Center virtual appliance in EVE-NG, providing a realistic management experience.
Yes. This course covers all ENSLD exam domains including advanced addressing, advanced enterprise campus networks (SDA), advanced WAN, and network services design.
Cisco ISE is a critical dependency for SDA, providing 802.1X authentication, RADIUS policy, SGT assignment, and guest/BYOD workflows. Module 6 covers ISE-DNA Center integration and how ISE policies flow into the SDA fabric.
Yes. Cisco rebranded DNA Center as Catalyst Center in 2023. The architecture, features, and workflows are the same. Course materials use both names for clarity, matching the current Cisco documentation.
